Swing and Sway is a dance school for Ballroom, Latin, Salsa, and other styles. Our lesson formats are  Private, Semi-private, and private groups.

We also have a weekly Saturday nite dance event, and we offer DJ services and the option for private parties.

All our teachers are certified and a lot of fun to work with!

Our Dance Parties

Our passion is dance and we do everything we can to make our dancers happy. Everyone who steps into our parties or group lessons will have an ultimate dance experience with the best floor, music, sound, light, and group lessons. We have one of the most upscale venues in the GTA. Our dance floor and sitting area create an atmosphere, which is perfect for dancing, socializing or just relaxing. We run dance parties every Saturday, which include free snacks and hot drinks, free parking, and more. Our themed parties are unforgettable events. Make sure you do not miss them.

Our Lessons

Swing and Sway is a unique dance school, which fosters a passion for dancing in all its students, using over 30 years of experience and proven success. We specialize in effective dance teaching of Latin, Ballroom, Salsa, and other dances. We ensure that all our students will progress quickly from their first lesson to the dance floor. And – most importantly – we do all of it with a lot of fun!

We teach dancing as a language. Our students can dance with anyone who has learned the same style of dancing. We teach steps and variations and not structured routines. We also teach the roles of the leader and follower in relation to each other. We train our dancers to use musicality and sensuality. Our way of teaching is light and gradual. We start with the basic necessities to start dancing and then progress as much as the student wants to progress.

Our Dance Styles

• Ballroom and Latin Dancing in International – Social style. Basic steps, variation, and technique are done in the International style, but the goal is social dancing at social dance places (i.e. weekly dance parties/practices).
• The dances we teach are Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Jive, Paso-Doble, Tango, English Waltz, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Argentinean Tango, Milonga, Slow Rock (2-step) and the Hustle.
• We also play different variety of the above dances at our weekly and themed parties.
